“Its Alive”
VaHaas has always been about taking designs and bringing them to life, recently we have introduced a physical collectible that will be backed by our digital storytelling. While our scripts are still awaiting production our action figures introduce the brand into the real world. So how did we bring these designs to life through plastic? Each VaHaas character is made on a digital platform with many variations and restarts taking place, it could take up to a few weeks to finalize a design. The reason it takes so long is because we don't want our inspiration to be too recognizable from the cartoon icon, we want our design to be different enough that you question its inspiration.
Next we partner with talented 3D modelers who transform our sketches into 3D prototypes. This process is where every detail is extremely hard to finalize, because sometimes 2D images don't necessarily make sense in 3D form so this process is painstaking because communicating about revisions takes time. Once we approve the final 3D model, we begin production. At the moment we have 3D printed our models in reds, blues, whites, blacks and pinks. Collectors aren’t just getting a toy, they are receiving a physical piece of a VaHaas design that took so much work to come to life. Ultimately, these action figures are a bridge to get people interested about our scripts, social media profiles and future our animated shorts. They’re conversation starters and physical reminders of the brand we are building.
