To a theatre near you

Our scripts are where our designs get meaning and a backstory through social media and short films and clips fans can begin to understand the characters and build lore about them and their personalities. This is a way for our brand to connect to our audience and create a world for our characters. In the future our animated clips will provide a sneak peek into the bigger universe we are building. The process starts with brainstorming sessions that expand and shift iconic characters you already know, and we really try to change or distort things that major cartoons couldn't give us. We try to incorporate everything from funny moments to plot twists, but we are also still learning so we often go into detail about stories and pitches that might not ever be used. Because VaHaas draws inspiration from iconic cartoons, we have to work very hard on changing the story just enough without losing the main message.  Although we have not produced any animations or clips yet, we have big goals to eventually compete with major animated films. The hardest part so far has been that our characters are not known and we want to leave a good impression that they are original to themselves not parody or fakes of iconic cartoons. Each script also goes through multiple revisions where we find the holes or confusing points in the story, or just areas that are boring or need to be changed. Once the script is finalized, it’s ready to animate. Since we are a small independent brand, we don't necessarily have the budget to make animations yet, so we are relying on the sales of our merch and our toys to fund future projects. Stay tuned for more updates on these scripts as they progress from words to fully animated shorts.
